A cozy little bungalow tucked into Inman Park was chock full of charm but short on leg room.
The structure of this home created long and narrow interiors across 2 levels and simply missed the mark for a kick-back-and-relax space the homeowners desperately wanted. WHD took their unused lower level, a windowless dugout style basement, and created an entirely new floor fit for casual entertaining [boasting 7 windows and a set of french doors to the rear yard!].
Guests are now welcomed into a light-filled apartment complete with Kitchenette, Family Room, Full sized Bed & Bath, easy access to the grilling and outdoor lounge areas, plus storage and clever details to boot! A ventless fireplace with traditional mantle and marble tile sets the tone for a light and bright aesthetic throughout.
